Instructions for Downloading and Opening your Class Material
System Requirements
- US Windows XP (SP2+) or Windows Vista
- 256 MB RAM (512MB recommended)
- Pentium III class or better processor
- Sound Card (optional)
- Internet Connection
- Please note MAC computers are not compatible with our software
Begin your download process by clicking on the link in your second receipt. If nothing happens, open Internet Explorer. Copy and paste your link into the address bar of Internet Explorer. A box will open on your desktop titled “File Download”. Select “Open” to download. Follow the suggestions given by the wizard. This is done by clicking on “next”. If you want to browse and put the files in a specified location other than the default location you risk losing access to the software.
You have only one activation key code, so decide which computer you want your item(s) on. Run the software using unzipped or “extracted” files; your files should automatically unzip when you click on “run”. If your files do not automatically unzip, then select the AIT Exam Prep manila folder (by double clicking on it). Once the folder is open, scroll down the list of files and double click on setwiz_i to unzip the files. Once your files are unzipped then double click on the manilla folder again, find setwiz_i and double click. A new setup wizard will appear.
Complete the “Setup Wizard” by following the instructions given by the wizard, which automatically begins and appears on your desktop once your files are unzipped. You will then be prompted for a key code which is located on your second receipt.
Please note that by accepting the license agreement you can be legally prosecuted for any violation of the copyright and/or license agreement. Once the set-up of your software is completed by the wizard you will find an AIT Exam Prep icon on your desktop. Double click on this icon to access your class material. If you checked the box “run software immediately” then the software will automatically begin. If the software does not automatically begin double click on the icon.
Make sure you are using an updated free version of Adobe Reader so that any highlights of the material(s) can be properly seen.
Learning Mode
This mode allows you to activate through the “Configure Options” area the shuffling of questions, the instant indication of whether or not you choose the correct answer, use of the back button, marking questions so that you can review them, enable the “show answers,” enable the “show hint” or explanations (if available,) mark which questions need to be reviewed and show your score as you take the test. Please note that if you mark questions needing additional review you should minimize the software instead of closing out of it. We recommend this because closing the software and re-opening it will reset the Study Aid and you will lose your prior markings.
Score History gives your scores from tests previously taken. The history includes a summary of the test taken. Scores are represented numerically and by graph.
Flashcard Mode
This mode allows you to use the flashcard as if it were a printed copy. The question shows and you have to manually choose to see the answer by clicking on the bottom window. Clicking on the bottom window mimics the act of physically flipping the card over. You can choose the back button, manually grade yourself and get score details in this mode. No historical data is available in this mode.
